As you know, I have been working during my free time (that is not much these days) on a set of icons that I'd like to share with you. There are not many of them yet but just when I tried to release a first beta version I stumbled upon the great news: "Icon composer" is no longer inside Xcode 4". I used to use Icon composer to wrap my icons in sizes 256, 125 and 48 pixels. I have tried other applications but haven't succeeded. The results are not good whatsoever.

So here I am, asking everybody for ideas. Or I just might take the easy solution and release PNG's instead of ICNS.

If you know about any tool that would help me to wrap icons for each size then let me know. Oh, and I'm not interested in paying much money for them. So it has to be either cheap or free.

Thanks in advance guys!

Yeah, thank you but the problem is not converting icons from a format to another. That's easy. What I need is to wrap the icons. That means that I need to create an icns that includes the 5 sizes that the system uses (512, 256, 128, 48, 32, 16). I have used the program you suggested but it's not what I'm looking for. I need something like Icon Slate [link]

If i can't find any good tool, then I will just release the PNG's

If we can't find the right software for this trick its good to release the PNG files or just take a online PNG to ICNS converter :)

I also use this app: [link]
You can also use the online service for converting icons for free.
I have this and an other tool to convert icons so you can do it online or send me the files to convert it.

Greetings,
Steve
